ESPN.com Launches Fantasy Football 101 With Boss Button
ESPN.com has rolled out Fantasy Football 101, a new microsite geared for indoctrinating novice fantasy football players via a service-oriented series of videos, articles and tools. The new tutorial site, which is ultimately aimed at driving new users to ESPN’s Fantasy Football League, is hosted by a virtual version of ESPN anchor Trey Wingo. The instructional content is broken down into four categories - pre-draft, draft, in-season and playoffs – all designed to walk a novice fantasy participant through every step of the upcoming NFL fantasy season, which kicks off on Sept. 6. In addition to the online content, the new Fantasy 101 microsite offers users several tools that can be downloaded to their desktops which will provide tips and cheats to be used by fantasy players throughout the season. The set of fantasy tools also features a “boss button” to protect fantasy players who may be working on their teams while at the office. With one mouse click, the site instantly displays a fake spreadsheet titled “TPS Reports.”
