WSJ.com to Stream Live Super Tuesday Coverage

For the first time, The Wall Street Journal Online will stream live video on the evening of Feb. 5 as part of the site’s extensive coverage of Super Tuesday, when 24 states will hold presidential nomination primaries.Starting at 8 p.m. EST on Tuesday, WSJ.com will deliver live footage of executive editor Alan Murray and political columnist Jerry Seib discussing the early results of the day’s primary contests and conducting interviews, live from the Journal’s offices in New York. The video will also be streamed live on the company’s sibling site Marketwatch.com. In addition to the live footage, WSJ.com will feature supplemental video coverage of Super Tuesday from Fox News Channel, which like Dow Jones, is owned by News Corp. In fact, the move to increase WSJ.com’s video output is the latest in a series of enhancements to its digital properties since News Corp. took over Dow Jones. Just last week, the Journal launched Seen This?, an application built for Facebook and eventually other social networking sites that enables users to easily share articles from WSJ.com with their circles of friends.
