UpSnap Inc. is offering mobile users access to two-minute sports scores and other sports information from Sporting News Radio. UpSnap services are available on nearly 230 million mobile phones in the United States. Users can listen to the updates by texting "Flash" to 27627 or by calling (646) 213-0006. The service is free, but users could incur carrier charges. "It is exciting to offer sports fans access to Sporting News flashes through wireless technology so they can get this information wherever they are," says Shawn Pastor, senior vice president of business development for Sporting News. Sporting News Radio is a 24-hour sports radio network broadcasting live on stations nationwide.
