As part of its international growth plans, AOL has so far launched 18 portals with a goal of 30 countries by the end of the year. Attempting to make good on the promise, AOL has a created a Taiwan-based web portal that will offer its usual array of services, including a variety of content pages and its e-mail and AIM tools. While AOL formed a Chinese-language speakers in the U.S. last year, it still does not have a site in China.
