NBA Agrees To Short-Term Deal to Provide BBC with Online Highlights

The National Basketball Association (NBA) today announced it has entered into a relationship with the BBC to deliver daily NBA video highlights on bbc.co.uk throughout the remainder of the 2008 NBA Play-offs and The Finals 2008. The new agreement marks the first time fans in the UK will be able to access daily NBA video content directly on bbc.co.uk. The BBC Sport website averages more than 10 million weekly unique visitors and is the UK's largest sports news website. Sophie Goldschmidt, NBA Europe Vice President for Marketing Partnerships and Business Development, said: "As the popularity of the NBA continues to grow throughout the UK, teaming with an industry leader like the BBC will provide basketball fans with another outlet to experience the excitement of the NBA Playoffs and The Finals."
