ESPN.com said it plans to launch 15 new football centric blogs starting this summer, including blogs devoted specifically to each of the National Football League’s eight divisions and as well as blogs focused on each of the top college football conferences. The sports site has tapped 14 different reporters and columnists from across the country to author the blogs (one slot has yet to be filled). ESPN says that these reporters, who include Bill Williamson, formerly of Denver Post, Tim Graham, formerly of Palm Beach Post, and Tim Griffin, formerly of San Antonio Express-News, will each begin to make regular TV and radio appearances on ESPN’s collection of networks as part of their coverage. In addition, content from what it’s calling the Football Blog Network will feed into the site’s pre-existing national blogs for the NFL and college football.
