MLB.com Celebrates Fifth Anniversary By Offering Free Game On The Web

Major League Baseball said it’ll offer a free Webcast of the Aug. 26 New York Yankees – Detroit Tigers game on MLB.com, marking the first time ever that it’s letting Web surfers view an entire game for free. The game, a rematch of last year’s American League Division Series, is designed to mark the fifth anniversary of the first time MLB ran video from a baseball game on MLB.com. MLB.com launched its first subscription video product -- a nine-game package of games featuring playoff contenders -- in September 2002.
