Chad Johnson Unveiled as GoDaddy.com Spokesperson

Go Daddy has signed Bengals WR Chad Johnson to an endorsement deal. Three TV spots featuring Johnson have been filmed, with the ads debuting September 29 during ESPN2’s Saturday night college football coverage. Go Daddy last week announced a deal with ESPN to sponsor the net’s college football broadcasts this season. Go Daddy CEO Bob Parsons has not said publicly whether the company will buy a Super Bowl ad for the fourth consecutive season. Go Daddy does not have a marketing relationship with either the NFL or the Bengals, and Parsons wrote on his blog, "I’m not allowed to mention either the league or the team [in the ads]. I can only say that the name of the football league is usually referred to by three letters that are not an abbreviation of the words “No Free Lunch” and that his team name sounds very close to the words “Since in natty bangles.” Parsons adds Johnson is "everything that is Go Daddy. He’s outspoken, edgy, at the top of his game and memorable."
