Ridiculous Item of the Day: Xtreme International Ice Racing

Xtreme International Ice Racing (XIIR) returns to the St. Pete Times Forum Sunday, February 10th at 3pm! This is the first AMA-sanctioned indoor ice speedway series in motorcycle racing history and the fastest sport ever to take place on frozen H20! With man and machine going from 0-60 mph in under three seconds in an indoor ice arena, what is not to like? To gain traction, the bikes have over 2,000 studs in their tires – although that might give them traction, it definitely doesn't keep them from crashing. What is racing without crashes? Also, did we mention they have no brakes? There are 2 classes in XIIR – the Speedway class and the Quad class. The speedway class brings riders from all over the world – USA, England, Scotland, South Africa, Sweden and more. The Quad class primarily brings riders from the US. The thrill and excitement of racing in such extreme circumstances brings the adrenaline rush of the riders straight to you. If you are a fan of racing, you will become an instant fan of Indoor Ice Racing. There's something for everyone at Xtreme International Ice Racing! It's no wonder the slogan remains – THE GREATEST SPECTACLE ON ICE!
