High School Athletes Get Stack Web TV

Stack, a magazine aimed at helping high school athletes train effectively, has launched Stack TV, an online video hub that features instructional training vignettes from several prominent professional sports figures, including Peyton Manning, LeBron James and Joe Montana. The new channel arrives as part of a overall relaunch of Stack.com, which until recently served as a secondary distribution outlet for the magazine’s content. Now, the plan is to produce service oriented content that speaks to high school and college athletes, as well as weekend warriors. Stack TV has launched with 800 original short-form clips dispersed across eight channels, such as the nutrition-focused Fuel and Training Spaces, described as “The MTV Cribs” of athletic facilities. The plan is to produce 250 new videos for the site each month, many of which will feature big name sports stars, including the New Orleans Saints’ Reggie Bush, the New Jersey Nets’ Vince Carter and the Denver Nuggets’ Carmelo Anthony.
