PGA of America, Turner Sports Launching Revamped PGA.com

The PGA of America and Turner Sports New Media today will launch a newly designed PGA.com that will focus more on matching up consumers with content from the organization’s teaching pros. This includes more instructional articles and videos and ProFinder, a one-of-a-kind system pairing players and PGA teachers that will launch later this year. The site is currently a scattered collection of news, instruction and event information. Design elements will feature wider, more horizontally designed pages and a color palette based, for the first time, around the PGA’s blue and gold hues. Kohler is serving as presenting sponsor of a new section on the site where female PGA pros dispense golf advice to female players. Meanwhile, Turner is in talks with RBS and American Express, both PGA partners, to have some sort of presence on the site. The company is also looking into streaming options for the Ryder Cup. PGA.com already streams extensive coverage of the PGA Championship and the Grand Slam of Golf.
