If You Can't Be in the Stadium, the Scoreboard Can Come to You

For those times when you can’t take yourself out to the ballgame, there is the Liveboard by Vroop. This Bluetooth-enabled scoreboard connects wirelessly to your PC and picks up the current baseball scores and batter’s count for any team in the major leagues. The software runs on Windows and Mac computers and has three modes. Basic mode follows one team, full mode displays any current games when your team isn’t playing, and cycle mode rotates through both of the major leagues, offering current scores regardless of team. The $199 scoreboard, available online at www.myliveboard.com, comes with a USB Bluetooth adapter for a PC or laptop and is encased in a frame of solid ash, the same wood used to make baseball bats. It is 7 inches long and 4 inches high and can stand on a bookshelf or desk. There are no charges for the online score updates. Sadly, the Liveboard can’t recreate the smell of roasted peanuts , but it can help you keep abreast of the game when radio or TV isn’t an option.
