Gamers Unite for Class-Action Lawsuit Alleging EA Sports Monopoly on Football Games

Two video gamers have filed a lawsuit against Electronic Arts, alleging that the Redwood City company's exclusive licensing agreements with the National Football League, the Arena Football League and the National Collegiate Athletic Association have created a monopoly for football video games. The suit, filed in U.S. District Court in Oakland, seeks an injunction to end the licensing agreements as well as restitution for gamers, saying they have been forced to pay higher prices due to the lack of competition.
