Current TV Debuts Music-Blog Content

Current TV, the news and information network, Wednesday will premiere The Daily Fix, the first music blog for television. The Daily Fix will bring daily, dedicated music news back to TV six times a day with timely coverage on artists and the music industry from around the world, network officials said Monday. The show aims to help to break emerging artists from a slew of genres by shining a spotlight on formerly underground and unreachable artists worldwide, before they hit the mainstream. The Daily Fix will give viewers 90-second doses of daily music news in a groundbreaking reporting style that utilizes MP3s from music blog aggregators, gritty user-generated video clips and cellphone camera images. From sample-based music and mash-ups to concert footage shot by fans, The Daily Fix is aiming to infuse its coverage with music and media never before seen or heard on television.
