Gay Ad Network Forms

A collection of gay- and lesbian-targeted newspapers, magazines, Web communities and blogs have gathered together to form Gay Ad Network, an online advertising consortium consisting of more than two dozen publishers representing more than 200 sites. Gay Ad Network is the brainchild of Mark Elderkin, former president of PlanetOut and founder of the community site Gay.com. To kick off the new advertising network, Elderkin has signed on a diverse group of partners, ranging from the local newspaper New York Blade, the gay-men-targeting health site RealJock.com, the sports fan community OutSports, the celebrity-driven, gossip-centric !!omgblog!! and the gay parents-centric ProudParenting.com.
