USOC Revamps Web Site, Targets Youth

The U.S. Olympic Committee this week plans to unveil a dramatically reinvented Web site designed to boost its appeal to youth and extend its exposure beyond the months of the Summer and Winter Games. The new site, teamusa.org, will offer original feature stories on Olympians, rich video content, Olympic team news and athlete blogs. It also will serve as a portal for 26 national governing body sites, each sporting a consistent look and feel not unlike how MLB.com and the 30 baseball team sites operate, as well as for 19 additional Olympic sports. The USOC began working on the new site more than a year ago. Its prototype is much more content-rich and modern than its former offering, at usolympicteam.com. A rail of news from the USOC and its national governing bodies will sit to the right of the site’s featured story. Beneath it will be a video player, which the USOC has never before included on its site. The organization plans to offer 60-second video highlights from Olympic trials this summer, which it has rights to through NBC, along with athlete interviews. Eventually, it plans to stream live events and offer edited events.

I just need a little explanation, would anyone care to elaborate on the last comment?
"We hate spam as much as you do" - what the hell is that supposed to mean? What if I love spam, does this mean you love it too?
I just read another article about this topic, and yours seems to be a lot more to the point. However, their article appears on #1 spot, and your is on the bottom. Why?
How do people blog on other people's blogs? Can I guest post on your site, I have lots of interesting articles.
