NBA TV to Use Online For Selection of Tuesday Night Games

The schedule for NBA TV, which reaches about 15 million households and starting this season will be managed by Turner Sports, will be subject to viewer votes. The channel, this season simulcasting local TV coverage of 96 games, will formally announce today that it will allow fan voting on NBA.com to select its Tuesday night games, starting Nov. 4. Online voting will take place Tuesday through Thursday prior to Tuesday games, says NBA Digital senior vice president Bryan Perez. He isn't sure if online users can vote more than once — "we want to encourage fan activity." Still, teams can't appear on the channel more than nine times. … With the men's final in tennis' U.S. Open rain-delayed until today (5 p.m. ET), CBS will stream its TV coverage live at CBSSports.com.
